Basics of neuroathletic training

Understanding neuroathletics correctly – Learn the basics of neuroathletic training and discover why it is essential to integrate neurocentric approaches into training and therapy.

In this two-day training, Brain Based Movement will show you how movement is viewed from a neurocentric perspective to increase performance, uncover hidden potential, and identify potential pain or movement restrictions. The focus is on teaching fundamental principles, practical exercises, and direct application in everyday training and therapy.

Contents:
1. Definition of Neuroathletics: What is neuroathletics? What principles are used, and what new solutions does the approach offer?
2. Movement from the perspective of functional neurology: Movement originates in the brain. Which central nervous processes are involved in stimulus perception, processing, and response control?
3. Neuroanatomy and functions of the vestibular, visual, and tactile systems: How is the nervous system structured? Which peripheral and cranial nerves are there, and what functions do they perform?
4. Neuroathletic exercises: Exercises for the vestibular, visual and tactile systems for direct application in training and therapy.

David Hillmer is a sports scientist, keynote speaker, and personal trainer. As co-founder of Brain Based Movement GmbH and an expert in neuroathletics and functional training, he brings in-depth knowledge and practical methods to his training courses. His education includes a sports degree from the German Sport University Cologne, various continuing education programs at EXOS, FMS, DOSB, and the entire Z-Health curriculum.
