Neuroathletics training: information, formats and exclusive certificates

What neuroathletics training is available?

While neuroathletics was made known in Germany primarily by the sports scientist Lars Lienhard, it originally comes from the USA. Here, in the early 2000s, the athletic trainer Eric Cobb began to combine the two disciplines of athletic training and neuroscience. The birth of Neuro Athletic Training .

Cobb finally combined the findings from neuroscience and practical experience from therapy and training to create his own training concept, the Z-Health Performance Education System .

In addition to Cobb's Z-Health training courses, there are now many competent providers of neuroathletic training courses in Germany.

We offer you a complete neuroathletics training as a two-day in-house training course. This includes a practice-oriented training with lots of knowledge and exercises, a participant handout and a participant certificate.

You can find all information about this and other training programs from our partners here.

In-house training in neuroathletics

As trainers, therapists and coaches, it is our job to make people better and give them a better quality of life. Regardless of whether an athlete wants to improve their performance, a patient wants to reduce their pain or the general citizen wants to have less muscle tension, the nervous system is always involved in our actions. The nervous system is involved in all central processes of our lives, but the key question is: how consciously and individually do we operate the neural "circuits"?

From a neurological perspective, the terms input, interpretation and output characterize every change process in the brain. Your brain receives stimuli from its "sensory satellites" such as the eyes, inner ear and the inside of the body as input and interprets this information. Then, on this basis, it makes an action decision as output, e.g. a movement. Since the action decisions depend largely on the quality of information from the sensors, it is crucial to test the sensory systems individually for their functionality.

The clearer the input your brain receives, the better you will be able to act in your world. If the input is too weak or too imprecise, your brain will gradually apply small handbrakes (restricted movement, pain, etc.) that prevent you from making progress in the therapy or training process. We will take you into the exciting and fascinating world of neurocentric training and its possibilities. The basic information imparted is put into practice directly.

What you learn

  • Neurocentric basics on the topics of sensory and motor skills (proprioception), visual system, vestibular system
  • Simple neuro-testing tools that you can use immediately with every patient/client after the course.
  • Practical implementation: You will learn how to find individualized exercises tailored to the nervous system of your patients/clients.

What you get

  • Practice-oriented training with lots of knowledge and exercises
  • participant handout
  • participant certificate
