Dominik Suslik

Sports scientist MA, head of the medical department of the youth performance center of Hannover 96

Dominik acts as a neuroathletic coach for the licensed and youth players and is the organizational director of the 96 Competence Center for Football Medicine.

While still an active football player, Dominik completed his studies in sports science and business administration in Göttingen. He then worked in medical training therapy as well as a fitness and athletic trainer in the handball Bundesliga and the DFB junior national teams, among others.

He has been working as an athletics and rehabilitation coach with aspiring and established football professionals for over 15 years. In addition to his work for Hannover 96, he was part of the coaching team of world champion coach Christian WĂĽck for the junior national teams of the German Football Association, where he coached players such as Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala. Before that, he worked for eight years as an athletics and rehabilitation coach in the handball Bundesliga. The athletes he coaches include football and handball Bundesliga players as well as Olympic champions, world champions and European champions.

Through numerous further training courses, Dominik has become one of the leading experts in athletic and neuroathletic training in Germany. In addition to his sports and business studies in Germany, he was one of the first Germans to complete the Z-Health curriculum in "Applied Pain and Performance Neurology" with Dr. Eric Cobb in the USA and obtained the Diploma in Performance Nutrition from the International Institute of Performance Nutrition in England.

He is the initiator and content developer of the software "Prevention Management Tool" (PMT) for load and strain control for team athletes in Germany, which he initiated together with the development team from Zinkler & Brandes in 2014 as the software "Athletics Connect" and in 2019 with and for the Verwaltungsberufsgenossenschaft in the "PMT" transferred.

Dominik is an early adopter in the areas of prevention, therapy and training and a creative practitioner with vision. In 2016 he wrote the book "Therapy and Training with the Flossband", a mobility and therapy concept with 20 screening tests from the foot to the head. In 2017, together with Ludwig ARTZT GmbH, he brought Dr. Eric Cobb and the Z-Health Curriculum to Germany and initiated the first neuroathletics shop for the practical application of neurology in sport and exercise.

In 2021, during the pandemic, he devoted himself to the topic of neuroimmunology together with the MOJO Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Dr. Gerrit Keferstein and realized the online training for immune signature Coach to educate people about the connections between energy metabolism and the immune system and to inspire them to become healthier and more productive.

In 2024 he published the book "Neurocentric Training in Sports Physiotherapy" together with his colleagues Daniel MĂĽller, Kevin Grafen and Dirk Schauenberg.
